Dancing with the Torahs and Torah Scavenger Hunt
Join us as we dance, sing, and celebrate with the Torah at our Congregational Simhat Torah Service! All participants will have an Aliyah during this special service. Activities for children, including a Torah Scavenger Hunt, will begin around 10:30am.
Join us as we honor our 5786 Temple Beth Sholom Kallat Torah and Hatan Beresheet
On Simhat Torah, we finish reading the Torah and immediately begin reading it again. Being called to the Torah for an aliyah for the last portion we read in the book of Deuteronomy and for the first portion we read in the book of Genesis are honors reserved for those who have helped our community live Torah’s values

Hatan Torah
Sheldon Kerner
A member of TBS since 1974, Sheldon has been active on many committees and served as Men’s Club President from 1985–1987. Inspired by Max Becker, he studied Haftarah and prayers, and learned Torah trope with Mordecai Fuchs. Sheldon especially enjoys reading Torah on Rosh Chodesh and as well as being a part of the warm community of morning minyan.

Susan Aaronson
Susan has been part of the TBS family, both personally and professionally, for many years. Since joining as a member in 2008, she and her husband Jeff have celebrated their wedding and many simhas at TBS. In 2012, Susan joined the staff, first in Accounts Receivable and Membership, and now she also serves as clergy assistant to Rabbi Peltz.
