Join us for a special family program in the tent as unroll an entire Torah to celebrate Simhat Torah with a special treat!
We will dance into the sanctuary at 7pm after the congregational Tekes Ma'avar ceremony, a ceremony to help our community mark the yahrzeit of the October 7 attacks on Israel by moving from memorial to celebration.
After that, we will join the congregational Simhat Torah celebration.
Bring your flags and get ready to dance with the Torah! Sweet treats for everyone after our service and celebration. This will be a FUN service not to be missed!
More information about the service:
The service will begin promptly at 6:30pm in the tent.
After the program in the tent, we will join the congregational service to sing and parade with the Torah.
The congregational service will last about an hour and a half, but we will begin serving the special ice cream bar treat after our students have the opportunity to parade with the Torah (by about 7:15pm).
If you created a flag or other decoration in your class, please bring it to the service. We will have Simhat Torah flags for everyone, too, in the sanctuary.
Dress is Shabbat casual (pants and shirt, no jeans).
Families with older students are encouraged to stay for the entire service.
After we parade with the Torahs, all participants will have a group Aliyot to the Torah, and the students will have their own special Aliyah!
This will be a truly special experience for our entire congregation—we look forward to celebrating with you!
